Tasks

The research plan for the PINEA project is based on its objectives and is expected to be carried out through nine planned Tasks:

  • Task 1. Stakeholders, planning, coordination and dissemination
  • Task 2. Establishment and monitoring of an irrigation and fertilization trial for stone pine
  • Task 3. Monitoring of a Pinus pinea fertilization trial
  • Task 4. Pinus pinea Permanent Sample Plots: biometric, climate and soils data collection
  • Task 5. Pinus pinea databases for biometric, climate, soils and site data
  • Task 6. Data analysis for Pinus pinea irrigation and fertilization guidelines
  • Task 7. Carbon allocation in Pinus pinea
  • Task 8. Improving existing Portuguese Pinus pinea modelling equations
  • Task 9. Adaptation and calibration of a process based model for Pinus pinea
